“Very enjoyable -
This stately home has 4 guest rooms & unattached cottage. We stayed in the garden room. Has a king size bed & ample sized room. It only has a shower-which is very small-so, if you are a large person-it wouldn't work for you..There are smaller rooms & larger room with tubs The home is charming with all its furniture & whimsy decor. The inn keeper, Debra, was just delightful. She couldn't do enough to insure a pleasant stay. There was always coffee & tea, cookies & snacks available. The breakfasts were not overwhelming, but just enough & tasty to get one thru to a late lunch. The home was amazingly clean given the amount of objects that would need to be dusted. We were there on New years weekend & enjoyed all the Christmas decorations. It is only a couple blocks to the downtown historic area. So we were able to leave the car & walk everywhere.”

“Wonderful Experience!
My Mother and I stayed here for a holiday getaway, and stayed in the Garden room! The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and we enjoyed the Victorian decor and warm ambiance of homemade cookies and assortment of teas and coffees. There were ample areas to sit and relax, with books to read, or holiday music softly playing. Just a short walk to the main village area with many little stores and cafes. We had a lovely lunch at the Garden Gate Tea House, decorated in gorgeous "shabby chic" Victorian! If you love that decor, you will soak up your senses.Mt.Dora had a beautiful sunset by the lake, and at night, the park had a wonderful display of lights. Deborah, the Innkeeper went out of her way to make you feel at home, offering water bottles, cookies, and made a delicious breakfast!Boat ride on Dora Canal was amazing!

“Lovely Inn and Innkeeper -
Deborah is the new innkeeper, and it is obvious that she is passionate about what she does. She acted as concierge, cook, and innkeeper for us during our short stay, and we felt like we'd made a good friend when we left. The inn is beautiful and the rooms well appointed. We took advantage of a groupon, so the value was fantastic!”

“One of the Nicest Innkeepers -
I have not stayed myself, the stay is scheduled for the Best Aunt and Uncle any girl could have, it's a surprise for their 50th Wedding Anniversary! Deborah, the greatest innkeeper in the world has set up the room, a boat ride, and dinner for me and I didn't have to do a thing.
People, if you want to stay at a beautiful place in beautiful Mount Dora, Florida, this is the place for.”

“Delightful first time here!
My friend and I wanted a "girl's time" away and wanted to go to Mt. Dora after hearing how nice the town was with many unique shops and restaurants. We chose to stay at the Magnolia Inn after seeing how quaint and pretty the rooms looked, the price and the close proximity to downtown. The owner, Jim, was very accommodating to let us get into our room early.
Upon our arrival we were met by Deborah. She made us feel very welcomed and helped us get settled into our "Hats and Hearts" room. This was her frist day as new employee to help Jim run this beautiful bed and breakfast. She was so nice to help us in every way she could and offered great suggestions of what to do during our short stay.
Our room was very charmingly decorated with antiques and very neat and clean! The bathroom was small but very clean and updated with new fixtures, sink and toilet.
Our breakfast was served downstairs with the other couples staying there. It was well presented by both Deborah and Brenda with a great selection of breakfast items. The table in the pretty dining room was tastefully set for each of us. The food was plentiful and very good!
Upon the suggestion of Deborah we took the boat tour of Lake Dora with Premier Boats. It was the best $23 we spent during our stay! The 2 hours trip was narrated by both Captain Bob and Captain Paul in an interesting and informative way to make it fun as well. I highly reccommend taking this boat tour! Deborah will take care making the reservations for you!
I would definitely stay at this bed and breakfast again! Thank you, Jim, Deborah and Brenda for making our stay in Mt. Dora a very pleasant one!”

"Thank you for making our 22 second wedding anniversary so extra ordinarily special. The Award Winning Magnolia Inn and especially the Carriage House is beautiful beyond measure. "This has been again the best stay ever. Not only is this our favorite #1 B&B to be in, it is the friendliest, and most comfortable and has beautiful decor. The greatest home-made breakfast, and hospitality that you cannot find anywhere else."
Love always, Alma and Lionel |
"Staying at the Magnolia Inn has been the most wonderful part of our stay in Florida. We have been treated like "old friends" rather than "new guests". Nothing we have wanted has been too much trouble for them. The Magnolia Inn is truly a special place!"
